Cheap Lasso Hosting is provided as a service to the Lasso Community. The hosting fees only cover our costs. This service is not for everyone. We assume that you possess a good knowledge of the Lasso 8 Site Admin. If you're quite happy to debug your own code and setup your own accounts in the Lasso Site Admin, please feel free to use this service. If however, you require more dedicated support, you may want to consider ordering a more standard Lasso Hosting package. Please see Omnipliot's website for Hosting Providers.

Once you fill in the order form on our website, you will be taken to the PayPal website to log in to your account. This is set up to automatically request a monthly subscription from your account. Once payment is completed, you will be redirected back to CheapLassoHosting.com. You will receive an order confirmation email from CheapLassoHosting. Your account will be ready within 12 hours maximum (usually much faster).
You may also specify a domain name which you can point at your account in the domain name field on the order form. This domain will be configured in your account's Virtual Host. See FAQ on How to Point Domains.

No, there is not a minimum contract period. Our packages may be purchased on a month-to-month basis.

Yes, we have a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee on all plans except for SSL enabled plans. If you are not satisfied with our service, contact us for a complete and prompt refund. Your account must be in good standing and must not have been terminated for violation of our Terms of Services to receive a refund.

We do not offer telephone support for one simple reason: cost. If we offered phone support we would not be able to offer hosting prices at such a low cost.
We do, however, offer free email support with a quick response time. We will also be consistently adding more info to our FAQs as new email queries come in.

You can send mail via the host 'localhost'. You can configure this option when first initialising your Lasso site, or at a later date by navigating to Utility -> Email -> Setup. You do not need to use SMTP authentication (SMTP AUTH).

Yes, Webalizer stats are included with all of our plans. Statistics are updated every day and include graphs of traffic over time, hit/visitor counts, user-agent data, URL reports and more! Webalizer keeps 12 months of history so you can compare usage over the entire year.
NB: If you signed up before November 2007 and have a Lasso 8.1 account then the stats reports are not available to you. Please contact us to upgrade your account.

Yes. Your access logs are available for download via FTP. Your access log is in the Apache "combined" format and is compressed with gzip. You will find 12 weeks worth of logs in the logs/ folder of your FTP account.

Yes. You need to allow group write to the directory in which you want to upload your files via your FTP client, and make sure your Lasso security setup allows file operations.
If your FTP client doesn't have a graphical tool to set permissions, issue the FTP command 'SITE CHMOD 775 myuploadsdir', changing myuploadsdir to the name of the directory which you will use for file uploads.
